New images based on the tiles at St Davids Cathedral have been in progress over the summer and will be shown for the first time at the Cloister Gallery from 22 October.
The pictures shown here illustrate some of these new images at various stages of production.
The patterns are drawn having first established the full pattern, often by comparison between different versions of the same tile. The corners are often the most damaged parts of the tiles. These are drawn, redrawn, scanned and coloured before being placed together, sometimes in combination with other tile designs.
